Virtual leadership programmes, run from a studio
How to deliver a multi-session programme for senior leaders that feels like a live event, with participants joining online.
CAM 1Yes. A multi-session virtual leadership programme works well from a broadcast studio: facilitators and guest speakers present from a lit, multi-camera set, participants join on Zoom, Microsoft Teams or your event platform, and a production team runs the cameras, slides, remote guests and live Q&A so the facilitator can focus on the room. At IGNITE Studios in Watford, near London, each session can be booked in Studio B (from £1,495 + VAT per half day) or, for a bigger occasion with guests in the room, Studio A (from £5,995 + VAT per day).
How to run an interactive programme from a studio
The aim is a programme that feels like a well-run live event, not another video call. A typical session runs like this.
- Plan the running order together. Agree the sessions, timings, speakers, polls and discussion points before the first broadcast.
- Rehearse before you go live. Check slides, video, guest links and transitions so the first minute looks as planned.
- Open from the studio. The facilitator presents from the set, with slides, video and branding cued live and remote speakers brought in on screen.
- Hand over to participants. Your team moves the group into discussion rooms on your own platform, such as Zoom or Teams breakout rooms, then everyone comes back to the studio for the next segment.
- Take questions live. Questions come in through the platform and are put to the facilitator or guest on air.
- Record every session. Keep the recording for anyone who missed it and for follow-up learning between sessions.
Why senior audiences notice the difference
- Senior leaders judge the programme partly by how it looks and sounds. A webcam in a meeting room undercuts the message.
- The same set, lighting and crew for every session gives a six-part programme one consistent look.
- Facilitators stay focused on participants while the production team handles the technology.
- Guest speakers can join from anywhere and appear on screen as part of the broadcast.
- A visit before you commit lets you see the set and meet the team.
